If you didn't already done so, make yourself a list and hurry up to do everything before the weeds take over your beautiful garden like what happen to me. It's unfortunate I have to go away for work so I sometimes get big surprises in the garden.

Stake the plants who need it.
Verify the temperature for tonight.
Weed ( or hoe)
Put some mulch ( most of the cities these days give it for free check it out)
Add some fresh dirt
Rest! You deserve it!
Only then, if your job is completely finsih, you are allowed to go get yourself some flowers to plant, some herbs, nice dirt if you can afford it, and some mulch depending on your budget.
Now now look at the temperature in your neighbourhood! If oyu can not plant at least you have your first choice. Got it! You know those one you have been dying to buy all winter long.
